The crane is a model HP19/2T built by AquaPro in Seattle. The base is over 1” thick and is welded to the working deck, the utility deck, and the hull. The controls are located in this base behind a watertight door. The boom extends to 19 feet and the crane can be slewed 120 degrees to both port and starboard. The SWL (safe working load) is 2200 lbs. Hydraulics are supplied from pumps located on the port engine and #1 generator. Solenoid operated valves located forward of the port engine are provided to adjust the crane operating speed. The crane has been used to launch the dinghy, load a VW Golf onto the boat, and load motor bikes into the forward stateroom.
