Air Compressor: The compressor is located in the storage area on the port side of the master stateroom head. Air outlets are installed on each deck adjacent to the water supply outlets. These outlets can be used individually to operate pneumatic equipment or combined with the water outlets to create a pressurized wash down system. This system also powers the air horn.
Autopilot Remote: A wired remote is stored in the small cabinet on the port side of the pilot house adjacent to the settee. A 50 foot cord allows operation of the boat from almost any location. The remote operates the steering system, both engines, and the thrusters.
Bilge Pumps: Five 3700 gallon/hour pumps are installed as follows: one in the lazarette, two in the engine room, one in the bilge under the master stateroom floor, and one in the forward thruster compartment.
Black Water: Two 250 gallon black water tanks are located in the engine room, one to port and one to starboard. All black water is pumped to these tanks and in order to minimize odor most piping is PVC plastic. In addition, air filters are installed on each tank vent. A pump out system allows black water to be pumped overboard where legal or it can be pumped at a dockside station from a fitting on the aft deck.
Camera System: Two cameras monitor the engine room and activity behind the boat. Each camera has it’s own respective screen located on the pilot house console.
Central Vacuum System: The unit itself is located in the storage area behind the master stateroom head. Outlets are located in the main saloon, pilot house, engine room, and all staterooms. The exhaust is routed to the outside on the port side of the boat.
Decking: Flexiteek composite decking is installed on the main saloon aft deck, the guest aft deck, the walkways to the pilot house, and the side deck entries.
Dehumidifier Drains: Provisions have been made to connect the drains from portable dehumidifiers directly to the overboard sump system. Connections are located in the main saloon, guest stateroom, forward stateroom, and master stateroom.
Electronic Mast: This mast is located on the pilot house roof and can be removed to allow for bridge clearance.
Engine Room Fire Extinguishing: A Fireboy system is installed in the engine room. The system is automatically or manually activated. Automatic activation occurs when 170 degree Fahrenheit temperature is sensed. A manual activation handle is located in the main saloon adjacent to the fireplace. Activation of the system fires the bottle, shuts down engines and generators, shuts off the engine room fan, activates warnings in the pilot house and master stateroom, and closes the engine room vents.
Engine Removal: Removable bolt down hatches have been installed over both the port and starboard engines.
Emergency Equipment: Life vests are located under the chart table and life rings are located outside of the pilot house starboard door and on the lower aft deck. Portable fire extinguishers are located in the galley closet, the shop, and the pilot house. A light weight aviation type life raft and EPIRG are stored under the chart table.
Flow Switches: Both the main engines and generators have water intake flow switches witch guard against the failure of cooling water. Lack of flow to the engines sets off an alarm on the pilot house console. Lack of flow to the generators shuts off the units.
Fresh Water System: Two 750 gallon tanks are integral to the hull and are located at the bottom of the master stateroom stairs, one behind the bookcase and one to port in the shop. Fill inlets are located on the deck outside of both galley doors. The water maker sends water directly to the tanks when the valve is in the tank position. A crossover tube allows the slow equalization of the tank quantities. The system utilizes a variable flow pump located in the aft starboard area of the engine room.
Fireplace: The fireplace is fueled by the propane system. It has adjustable flame settings, a speed controlled fan, and can be used as backup heat. The controls are accessed at the bottom of the unit. The flue is routed to the back deck and is double walled. See the fireplace manual for operating instructions.
Grey Water System: Grey water is normally routed overboard but can be routed into the black water holding tanks by positioning valves located on the black water tanks, the forward master stateroom closet, and above the Kabola furnace.
Heated Towel Racks: Stainless towel racks are located in the master and guest staterooms. They are heated by the hydronic heat system and controlled by timers located on the units. A bypass valve located in the equipment access area on the port side of the guest stateroom bed bypasses the guest stateroom unit.
Hot Tub Plumbing: The boats heat system has a zone valve and plumbing dedicated to heating the hot tub. Outlets are located on the utility deck and upper deck. Thermostat wiring is located adjacent to the hot water outlets that open the zone valve and turn on the circulation pump. Heat system water is routed to a heat exchanger located in the hot tub.
Hot Water Scald Protection: An adjustable mixing valve limits the temperature of the potable water exiting the tank to 120 degrees fahrenheit and all shower heads have temperature limiting capability.
Hydraulic Steering: The steering system is a manually powered unit built by Cobalt. The pump is located behind the pilot house steering wheel and the system reservoir is located behind a removable panel to the right of the center window. By pass valves are located in the lazarette to facilitate maintenance. Power steering is available as a function of the auto pilot system.
Insulation: Sound and thermal insulation is provided by sprayed foam on the house structure and the hull to the level of the waterline. Two inch foil covered insulation is installed in the engine room. The interior noise level was measured during a sea trial by Passage Maker magazine in 2008 and the result was 68 DB in the main saloon
Lazarette: This area is accessed through the watertight hatch located on the aft deck. The following components and controls are located in this space. Twelve AGM house batteries – two series 39 alternate engine start batteries – steering components – auxiliary fuel tanks and the autopilot pump.
LED Deck Lighting: These fixtures provide subtle lighting to most deck areas. Controls are located in the pilot house and adjacent to the starboard entry.
Lighting: Most light fixtures are by Imtra. Dimmers are installed where appropriate and the fixtures were painted the color of the surface to which they were installed. Step lights are installed where needed.
Life Sling System: A life sling is installed on the aft deck complete with a throwable blowup unit and pulley system that can be fastened to the aft deck overhead.
Oil Change System: A Reverso oil change system is installed for both the engines and generators.
Offshore Window Protection: 3/8 inch female threads have been installed around all port and starboard main saloon windows. These are designed to accommodate the future installation of storm windows.
Paint System: Altex Devoe (Ameron in the U.S.) paint and paint specifications were used on the boat during construction. The primers are two part epoxy and the finish coats are two part polyurethanes.
Propane System: Propane powers the galley stove, fireplace, and laundry dryer. Four 40 lb tanks are located in a ventilated compartment adjacent to the starboard entry. Each component has individual solenoid shutoffs. A leak detection system activates to shut off all propane flow if propane is sensed in the bilge.

Search Light: This Perco unit has a 12” drum mounted on the starboard side of the pilot house roof. The wheel controls are located on the pilot house overhead.
Smoke Masks: Two units are located inside the shop over the entry door.
Solar Wiring: Provisional wiring is installed on the pilot house roof that will allow the future installation of solar panels.
Spare Propellers: Spare propellers are located under the sole directly in front of the washer/dryer in the master stateroom.
Spare Thru Hulls: One spare is located adjacent to the sump tank and one is available on the starboard side of the engine room.
Stabicraft Dinghy: This 15’ aluminum dingy is a product of New Zealand and features three separate watertight compartments. The outboard is a 4 stroke 60 HP Yamaha. Also included are a 2 HP Honda get home motor, a fishing downrigger, and a custom made stamoid vinyl cover for winter storage. Stabicrafts are routinely used off-shore in New Zealand.
Stateroom Separation: To promote privacy all three staterooms are separated and have private ensuits.
Storage: In addition to the normal storage in closets and drawers the boat contains three large storage areas; to starboard behind the master stateroom bath mirror accessed through a door in the master stateroom closet, to port behind the master stateroom head, and under the guest stateroom berth.
Sump System: All grey water systems that are located below the waterline flow to a stainless tank located below the master stateroom floor. When the tank is full the effluent is pumped either overboard or to the black water tanks.
Swim/Emergency Ladder: A fold up stainless ladder is stored on the aft deck. Connections are located on the aft deck and both forward entry areas.
Tank Access: All integral tanks have large watertight access hatches installed.
Thrusters: 24 VDC 15 HP Side Power stern and bow thrusters are installed and operated from controls in the pilot house or from the autopilot remote. Power is from the main battery bank. As a safety precaution power is routed through dedicated battery disconnect switches located by each thruster.
TV System: A stabilized satellite dish and a local air antenna are installed on the roof of the pilot house. The dish is mounted on the mast and can be adjusted laterally. A 60 inch LCD television is located in the main saloon along with a ROKU unit and DVD player.
Vented Lockers: Vented lockers are located on the top deck for the storage of paint and dinghy fuel. They are sealed from the interior of the boat but vented to the outside.
VHF Remote Radio: A remote VHF radio is installed in the main saloon below the TV in the main saloon.
WIFI: A long range WIFI antenna is installed on the pilot house roof and is wired to a router and hub that allows internet access by WIFI signal or by cat 5 wire outlets located in most areas of the boat.
Windows and Ports: Many of these units can be opened allowing for ventilation. Roller shades are installed on most windows and removable shades are available for most ports..
Washer/Dryer: Full sized washer and dryer units are installed behind louvered doors in the master stateroom. The washer drains into the greywater system and the dryer vents out the starboard side of the boat. A loop in the dryer vent is installed that precludes water incursion into the boat. The dryer is fueled from the propane system.
Water-Maker: This Echotec water maker is installed on the forward bulkhead of the engine room. Controls are located in the shop. Output is rated at 55 GPH in warm water. Cold water output is about 35 GPH.
Zincs: The hull has a total of 9 plate zincs installed. There are also zincs on the shafts, under both rudders and on both thrusters.
